WHY YOU SHOULDN’T PROCRASTINATE

Scrolling over instagram? Texting friends? Netflix and chill? As relaxing as these may sound, these platforms are where we are mostly found these days. More often than not this fun time can change into hours of binge watching that result in big bags under our eyes and sleepiness at work.we all know how addicting instagram reels can be but have you ever thought what if we use this time somewhere productive ?

On an average we pick our phones 1000s of times in a day just to check if the notification bell rung or not , we don’t adopt activities that force us to stay away from the screen we are glued to.

As long as all this is leisure, its fun but what if this leads to you not completing tasks and passing the deadline. Congratulations you are a victim of procrastination. Yes you procrastinated a lot, which is ok sometimes but not everytime.

Nowadays, it’s all too easy for people to procrastinate due to numerous distractions available at all times. Spend no more time making excuses. You should stop procrastinating right now if you are doing so

1. There’s no harm in taking the easy way out

When we have more challenging tasks to accomplish, we put off things. Our tendency is to fill our time with smaller, insignificant activities, rather than facing the challenge and completing the task we have to do. We don’t like to realize we’re coasting. Put it off no longer and get yourself off Facebook.

2. Keep an eye on the future

When the future is on the line, putting things in perspective reminds us how important even seemingly small things are. The completion of a project or finishing our work on time may seem trivial at times. The ultimate motivation to stop procrastinating is to remind ourselves that each small action leads to something big.

3. Take care of yourself

Procrastination has actually been linked to hypertension and cardiovascular disease, as scientists have discovered. Even though it didn’t prove a causal relationship, researchers hypothesized that procrastinators may be punishing themselves for not completing unfinished projects and for living under its control.

4. Sloppy work results

The best way to produce a good final product is to review it a few times before submitting it, no matter how seasoned your expertise is. It is important that you finish any work you may have to do ahead of time so that you can submit work you can be proud of.

5. You have less free time

Our procrastination is a form of short-term gratification instead of thinking of the long-term benefits. Our time for family and friends is lessened. When all we need to do is finish what we are currently doing in order to fully enjoy life, we waste precious seconds and minutes on things we don’t even have to do at all.
