WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO PRIORITISE YOUR HAPPINESS?

“If we are not happy, we will never be able to keep people close to us happy” – A cheerful and optimistic person can brighten anyone’s gloomy day. We live in an era where everyone is preoccupied with their social position and how others’ lives are depicted on social media. It appears that we are in a rat race to be happy solely for the sake of our self-made social existence. While growing up in the millennium era, when everyone aspires to realise their aspirations and fulfil their desires, it becomes hard to keep your mind at peace and happiness.

As we all work hard on prioritising ourselves and taking time to care for ourselves is not only a thing that we must practise, but it’s also a necessity. Happiness is a necessity, not a luxury. It’s as important to take care of ourselves and allow us time to rest and recover from everything that goes around in our lives. In the race of life, it is important to maintain a balanced life. You create the space you need to live a healthy, complete life when you make time for yourself.

When life throws a hard stone your way, happiness is the last thing on your mind, yet most forget that conquering problems becomes smooth and easy with peace and harmony. But, the question that comes across is how to maintain a perfect balance of happiness in one’s life?

List your priorities

An individual needs to be sorted about what he wants and want to work for; confusion leads to an unsettling head. Making a list of your priorities and working to make them happen makes you happy; these things are great if they only matter to you, not because they matter to someone else. Give yourself time to determine what makes you most happy, and go after those things instead.

Focus on self-growth

Little things count a lot when it comes to happiness, and pampering yourself is just what you need to feel happy inside and out. Start focusing on yourself and your development, and do something just for yourself. Happiness is found within us, and seeking it outside of ourselves can only disappoint us.

Don’t get influenced by social media

It’s no surprise Instagram and other social media platforms have become an integral part of our lives, but being completely swayed by the filtered world on the other side of the screen can sometimes get in the middle of your happiness. Avoiding such encounters will keep you out of a bad mood.

Prioritise you before anyone else

We typically prioritise others over ourselves, which is admirable, but spending time with yourself and prioritising your own needs may appear selfish to others. Still, it is necessary for your pleasure. Do you remember the last time you treated yourself to something? Now is the moment to put yourself first and everyone else second.

“you achieve all the things that you dream of only when you are happy, determined, focused, and at peace.”
