THE ART OF BEING GRATEFUL ON REALLY HARD DAYS
Gratitude is the most underrated chapter of life. Even on the most challenging days, if you can feel blessed, there is nothing that can leave a deeper impact on you. It makes all difficult situations easier and the most complex things much simpler. It redefines your existence and reconciles you with the divine feeling.
Practising gratitude is not a compulsory practice, but a religious dedication can really transform the way you think and feel about life and everything that happens on a day-to-day basis.
Being grateful gives you a reason to work to the best of your abilities even when a part of you isn’t ready enough.
There are days when things don’t take a desirable shape. Life seems to have taken a break, but then they are testing and trial phases of life. No matter how challenging and struggling life becomes, you would find ample reasons to feel grateful.
Finding the little reasons to feel blessed isn’t complicated. The fact that you are breathing and somebody lost the breadth a second ago is enough to make you feel extremely exquisite about life.
There is nothing going wrong in life; it is just the transitional phase that seems testing. How does gratitude bring light in the darkest days?
Your vision defines the way you look at life. Suppose there is a half-filled glass on the table. What would be your thoughts looking at that glass? An ungrateful heart will express grief about the glass not being completely full, whereas a grateful heart will feel satisfied thinking that the glass is at least half-filled. So, your thoughts shape your feelings, and you are responsible for the way you feel. Even in the most tragic phase, a heart filled with gratitude will find the reason to be contained and satisfied.A grateful heart:
- Doesn’t complain about things that don’t exist in its life
- Finds the reason to feel optimistic about the future
- It doesn’t compare itself to any other human being
- Always believe in gratifying the journey
- Feels joyful about life and all its elements
- Believes in the journey profoundly
The list keeps adding on. The marvellously built beautiful things cannot be taken for granted. The best advice for hard times could be to not focus on what kind of terrible thing is going on, but rather work towards making the best out of it. We all need to focus on broadening the horizon and building a whole list of all exciting things that can ignite the inner spirit most joyously.
