How to become the best version of yourself?

You are essentially who you create yourself to be, and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making.”

                                                             ‒ Stephen Richards

Is there ever going to be a day when it would be right for you to cease putting efforts to become better and do better?

Every day, there’s an opportunity to learn something new, do something different, and become a little more skilled than yesterday. And that’s how life goes on!

You are never too old, and it’s never too late to work on something that will revive your soul. But, amidst all these, how do you become the best of who you are?

On each new day, you have the opportunity to be better than yesterday. You are never the best; you are just better than what you were, and that evokes the importance to keep bettering skills and values.

How do you become better and keep doing that?

Show up to occasions

We all are beginners at some point of time in life, and for everything, there’s a first time. So, even if you have no prior experience with it, you need to fit into the shoe and start running regardless of counting how many times you have shown up for such events in the past. It’s okay if you could make up for just half a mile; what’s important is that you showed up. The half-mile journey of today will become one tomorrow.

Stand on the starting point

You don’t jump to become the best of who you are. The journey is full of many small steps rather than one long jump.

Be who you want to be

Nobody else will have a vision for you besides you! What you want to be, where you see yourself, and what you want to be doing is everything you need to decide for yourself. When you are the one putting effort, no one else needs to determine your journey. You need to understand this; there’s a difference between support and control.

Grab the opportunity tight

If you keep missing out on opportunities, you can never walk on the path to becoming your best self. Even if you don’t know anything about it, you can still get involved. That is how we upskill, right? Sticking to one chapter won’t let you finish the book.

Don’t count on the hours

Everyone is different. You might take an hour to finish a work, and the other person might take less or more than that. The level of understanding and approach are not the same for every individual. So, rather than focusing on the number of hours you’ve put to work, see how far you have reached.

Becoming the best version of yourself isn’t a challenge when you are open to growth and new life lessons.

Recognizing that you are not where you want to be is a starting point to begin changing your life.
