THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING A MENTOR AND HAVING A MENTOR

Whether you are teaching or getting taught, the special integrity in the role one holds is absolutely significant. At times, you need improvement, but various kinds of fears hold the desire to move along with the instinct. Sometimes, confiding in someone might seem embarrassing, but then some people would listen, understand and care—acting as a mentor or as a mentee has its own importance of giving pushback and critical feedback when the need arises. The importance of a Mentor

Mentors signify a very central approach towards education. Mentoring is very ironic; it is more like a connection between a veteran teacher and a newer teacher. Lessons keep on passing, and that’s when mentorship becomes an influential job. We can find a mentor in anyone; It can be a friend, teacher, partner, gym trainer or just a stranger passing by. Growth is the central goal of life. But the mentor is someone who supports growth, empowers, and encourages it. And that support is the most needed quality in one’s life. Knowledge needs to keep flowing, but what is the source? A mentor has immense experience of life. They always have more specific insights and information about the subject. There are times when our focus shifts; we start wandering across places that do not signify much of our dedication towards the goal, but a mentor always keeps a check on the progress and helps us remain focused and undiluted towards the achievement of the goal.

Most importantly, there are instances when you really want someone who would patiently listen to all that you have been holding for so long. When you have a true mentor in life, this wish isn’t a wish anymore; it becomes a practice that you love indulging in. A mentor figure is very well appreciated because of its contribution to the growth and prosperity of a mentee. The importance of a mentee

We never cease growing; Growth is ever-virtuous. There are instances in life when we achieve certain things, or rather put it more comprehensively, we just come a little far in our journey. But does that mean we need to stop growing? No, life probably has its own ways of making you learn the most meaningful lessons. While a mentee has a thousand things to learn from a mentor, a mentor has generous lessons that it can learn from the mentee. We always become a little more knowledgeable today than yesterday, and that is the beauty of living one more day. Investing time and energy always bears fruit. Sometimes, it teaches you patience, tolerance and compassion, and other times it lives well with the theme of distributed learning. Someday, a mentee will become a mentor and experience the gratifying journey of discovering life lessons as a mentor from another mentee.

And, the process goes on seamlessly, effortlessly nurturing every element that crosses the path. And that’s when a beautiful journey between a mentor and a mentee is well represented.
